Last month I bought a few items from Illamasqua (which fast becoming one of my favourite brands) especially because their stuff is always so highly pigmented. The blush in Excite is amazing! and well suited for my brown skin tone. Don't be scared by the colour in the above photo (for some reason it came up brighter on my camera) but it's a "vivid" apricot colour which will look gorgeous on brown to dark skin tones as it stands out nicely without being too overbearing. You can sweep the colour very gently on your cheeks for a subtle flush of colour or build up the colour without any caking.
I also bought ESP which is a "vivid violet" lipstick with a matte finish. ESP has a slight pink undertone to it which is noticeable when worn on the lips, this makes the colour look less cooler than it looks and a bit more easier to wear for me. I really love the purple shade of ESP but I find that the texture is so drying and its very difficult to get the colour onto the lips without dragging the skin. However, I am willing to overlook this as I really like the colour and I now wear ESP with a layer of a mix of pink and burgundy lip liner underneath to make it more wearable and and I also use a lip balm before any colour to help make it less drying for me.
After reading so many good reviews on the Skin Base foundation I also decided to give that a try alongside their Matt Primer as I have such oily skin and I am on the hunt for a primer that can tame my skin during the sumer months without my make up sliding off my face lol. The Skin Base Foundation I got is in no. 15 and it is comparable to MAC's NC50 shade which I found out by using their handy online comparison chart. The UV Glow Polich topcoat was a spur of the moment buy that I thought would be a great novelty item for my upcoming holiday to Ibiza next month.
