Iman Cosmetics: Skin Tone Evener BB Creme SPF 15

I was recently sent the new Iman BB Cream to try out and despite the hype that came with BB Creams a while back I actually never got to try them before so I was glad to test this one out. For those of you who are not aware BB Creams aka Blemish Balm or Beauty Balm are an all in one beauty product that combines moisture, coverage and sunscreen together. The Iman BB cream comes in a range of 6 shades for women of colour, specifically for tan, olive and brown complexions. The available shades are Sand Light, Sand Medium, Clay Medium, Clay Medium-Deep, Earth Medium and Earth Deep.

Wireless Festival: Day 3

This follow up post to my last one (a week later). Last week Sunday I attended the third and final day of Wireless Festival. Like the Friday it was a great day again but this time it was a lot more packed out with people. Before arriving to the festival I managed to break my toe (don't ask but being the stubborn person I am I blocked it out, got my sister to put my toe back in place (I have never felt pain like that before) and then I put on my converses and danced all day until at about 11pm when I realised that probably wasn't a good idea. (I am now limping with a swollen toe & foot that will take 6-8 weeks to heal).

Sunday was the hottest day that weekend and I really was feeling the heat, I felt like I was going to pass out  especially when we were in the smaller tent waiting for 2 Chainz to come on. Heat and broken toe aside I managed to have a great time and it definitely got us excited for our holiday and next festival.

Wireless Festival: Day 1

I attended the Yahoo Wireless Festival on Friday and Sunday just gone and had such a great time with my friends. We had scorching temperatures in the UK over the weekend which was great for the festival despite the fact that I dont do to well in the sun (I literally melt and get so hot and bothered).

Day 1 - Friday
The main acts we saw on Day one were Justin Timberlake (who surprised us with a guest appearance from Jay Z for the Suit & Tie song), Snoop Dog, John Legend, Trey Songz and Miguel. I have to admit I was very surprised at how good Snoop Dog's performance was and he played a lot of his old classics as well as some new stuff and he had such a great energy.

We had so much fun on Friday with lots of dancing and as you can see I even managed to fit in an outfit change into the pink kimono. This was not planned but my friend had a massive bag of never ending supplies and being me I just couldn't resist the outfit change lol.

OOTD: Shoreditch Sundays

This post of an outfit I wore a few weeks ago whilst out and about around Shoreditch / Brick Lane on what was a very hot Sunday. My friend and I first went for brunch at The Breakfast Club where I was very naughty and opted for a big breakfast including pancakes rather than something healthy. After fuelling up on a massive amount of food we then spent the rest of the day around the Brick Lane area where I have always loved to spend time at on a Sunday.

Illamasqua Haul

Powder Blush - Excite - £18 | Lipstick - ESP - £16.50 | Skin Base Foundation - no. 15 - £27
Matt Primer - £22.50 | UV Glow Nail Varnish - Geist - £13 | Intense Lipgloss - Boost - £14.50

Last month I bought a few items from Illamasqua (which fast becoming one of my favourite brands) especially because their stuff is always so highly pigmented. The blush in Excite is amazing! and well suited for my brown skin tone. Don't be scared by the colour in the above photo (for some reason it came up brighter on my camera) but it's a "vivid" apricot colour which will look gorgeous on brown to dark skin tones as it stands out nicely without being too overbearing. You can sweep the colour very gently on your cheeks for a subtle flush of colour or build up the colour without any caking.

I also bought ESP which is a "vivid violet" lipstick with a matte finish. ESP has a slight pink undertone to it which is noticeable when worn on the lips, this makes the colour look less cooler than it looks and a bit more easier to wear for me. I really love the purple shade of ESP but I find that the texture is so drying and its very difficult to get the colour onto the lips without dragging the skin. However, I am willing to overlook this as I really like the colour and I now wear ESP with a layer of a mix of pink and burgundy lip liner underneath to make it more wearable and and I also use a lip balm before any colour to help make it less drying for me.

After reading so many good reviews on the Skin Base foundation I also decided to give that a try alongside their Matt Primer as I have such oily skin and I am on the hunt for a primer that can tame my skin during the sumer months without my make up sliding off my face lol. The Skin Base Foundation I got is in no. 15 and it  is comparable to MAC's NC50 shade which I found out by using their handy online comparison chart. The UV Glow Polich topcoat was a spur of the moment buy that I thought would be a great novelty item for my upcoming holiday to Ibiza next month.
