Earlier last month I decided to take the plunge and buy my first cream blush. I knew instantly that I wanted to try Illamasqua's cream blushers but I wasn't sure what colour to try but after a bit of researching on the net I decided on Seduce.
Illamasqua describe seduce as a 'warm rose pink, with a dewy finish'. I have to agree with that description as its a gorgeous rosey pink that works well on my skin tone. Before purchasing it I thought it wouldn't work well on my skin tone as I could only find swatches of it on fairer skin but I have to say that this shade looks good on, so its definitely women of colour friendly too.
I must admit I have been very scared of trying cream blushers before as my face is quite oily and I thought that I would just end up looking like a hot greasy mess but this was actually not the case. As described Seduce gives a dewy finish and not an oily one. I would put it in the morning and by the end of the day (9pm) it would still be on only having worn off a little bit. I am really impressed with the wear of this product as I am not the type person that has the time to re-apply things like blusher during the day and especially during the working week.
Seduce swatched on my hand
I bought the Real Techniques Stippling brush to use with cream blushers and it works perfectly with cream blushers. All I do is lightly dip my brush in the blusher then dab a bit off on my hand before very lightly adding it to my cheeks circular motion. Trust me a little goes a very long way with this blusher. If you do find you've put too much blush on by mistake I like to get my powder brush and lightly brush a little powder over it to tame the brightness of the blush.
Here's a pic of me wearing Seduce, I love that the colour gives my cheeks a warm flush of pink.
