Fashion Assisting - Pride Magazine

Hey guys, I know its been a while since I last posted something but ive been so busy and I have also finally started my makeup course (I will put up a seperate post about it as I have learnt so much already).

As I mentioned before I had the opportunity to be a fashion assistant for a few photoshoots with a stylist called Lauraine Bailey. This particular shoot I assisted on was published in Pride magazine Oct 09 as part of a 10 page spread which I was very excited about and I was glad that I was a part of it.

The model used on this shoot was only 17 at the time but she was so professional which helped make the day more fun despite being a long & fast paced day of running about in the heat.

Here's a snippet of the pics published:

You cant see it in the pic but this top was made out of latex and was sooo heavy! Its similar to what Lady Gaga had on in her Bad Romance video.

First E.L.F Purchase

Two weeks ago I finally decided to order a few things from e.l.f for the first time. I've seen so many reviews on youtube and on here about the brand but I wasn't too convinced especially considering the majority of their products are priced at £1.50 or £3.50 from the studio line.

Here's what I got:

Pink Lemonade All Over Colour Stick
Toasted All Over Colour Stick
Butter Pecan Duo Eyeshadow Cream

This is what they look like swatched on my skin. The first two are the all over sticks, I've used the toasted colour on my eyes and the pink lemonade on my cheeks but they do come up quite faint on my skin when blended in and a little bit too shimmery for my liking. The duo eyeshadow is a lovely creamy texture and looks great for a natural look which I team with my UDPP.

I'm not too sure about this brand but for £1.50 its good value and I will definitely be making another order with them as I wanna try a few of their brushes. Have any of you guys bought anything from e.l.f and what products do you like/dislike?
